As you know, cooking oil is basic but most important ingredients in our kitchen. Without oil it is not possible to cook or to add flavor in our food.
Best cooking oil in India is solely depends on the area you live. Like in Maharashtra or Gujarat it is Groundnut oil used widely, whereas in Kerala it is Coconut oil. States like Andhra and Rajasthan uses sesame oil and eat and north Indian uses mustard oil in their food.
Since, from last 20 years, due to some foreign giant corporate companies, it is knowingly spreading that the oil we are using traditionally is not good for our health.
And now a days, Olive oil is also promoting widely. People are so conscious about their health (or they forced to be conscious due to continuous advertising) that they easily goes in their nets.

Ghee is our traditional cooking oil used since ancients time. It is actually very healthy option and far better that butter.

Mustard oil is also good traditional cooking oil. It help to protect our skin and also fight against germs. It prevents us from cough and cold.

Due to high smoking point it is one of the good cooking oil for daily Indian cooking styles. Coconut oil is full of saturated fat and increases the good cholesterol or HDL in the body.
It is been said that Soybean oil is to be healthiest oil in India. However there are different opinions across experts.
Soybean oil as name suggest extracts of Soybean and good source of healthy fats which includes Omega 3 fatty acids and polyunsaturated fats.
In spite of these good fats have good healthy benefits, it is a pure fats, which is safe for short term uses. Log term uses of Soybean oil may cause mild stomach and intestinal side effects.
