Let's make Sabudana Papad without cooking sabudana. Very easy process. And this recipes can be done with minimum ingredients which available in our house.

 

The another thing is that, unlike in a packed sabudana papad, this sabudana papad is made under bright sun so it has special taste.

 

This recipe is made in summer only, so it is also called Summer Work Special recipes. 

 

There are also other items which made during summer only and they are preserved for a year.

 

 

 

Sabudana Papad Ingredients
 ½ cup Sabudana (Sago)
 Salt and water
 cumin if you allow for fasting

 
Preparation
1

Wash Sabudana for twice or thrice. And then add exactly the same water by which tool you have measured sabudana.
Here I have taken 1/2 cup sabudana, So I have used 1/2 cup water. Keep it soaking for 8 hours or whole night with cover on it.

After keeping sabudana for 8 hours, check sabudana cooked or not by pressing it with our fingers.

In a deep pan or cooker, add 7 times of water with the same measurement tool. As I have used 1/2 cup measurement I have taken 7 times 1/2 cup water.

Now, boil this water and switch off gas. Pour sabudana in it and mix it well. Cover cooker or deep pan with tight lid and keep it for 10-12 hours.

Making liquid sabudana

Add this soaked sabudana in a Mixer jar and grind it very fine.

Add salt and cumin if you allow it for fasting. Mix it thoroughly.

Take a small portion of liquid sabudana in a ladle and spread on a plastic paper. You can make it in any shape and any thickness.

Keep all papad in bright sunshine for 1 to 1.5 days. Once they dried on one side then turn over and let it dry again. Once they dried well under sunshine you can also dry it under fan.
