Ingredients for Singhare ki Puri | Fasting puri


Flours for fasting puri
 ¼ cup singhara flour
 ¼ cup rajgira flour
 ¼ cup bhagar (sama flour)
 ¼ cup sabudana flour
Other ingredients
 1 boiled potato
 ½ tbsp cumin seeds powder
 ½ tbsp poppy seeds powder
 beaten chilly and garlic
 salt, coriander, red spices
 oil / ghee

How to make Singhare ki Puri | Fasting puri


Making dough for fasting puri

  1. Take singhara flour, bhagar flour, rajgira flour and sabudana flour with salt for taste in a mixing bowl.

  2. Mix all flour well

  3. Add boiled potato, jire and poppy seeds mixture, chilly and garlic paste, red spices and chopped coriander and mix it well.

  4. Now, pour little amount of hot oil.

  5. Mix it slowly.

  6. Then, mix our mixture by adding water step by step.

  7. Blend whole mixture to make tight and soft dough. Add little water whenever required.

  8. Cover it with lid for 15 minutes.

  9. Remove lid after 15 minutes. Mix the dough again

Making Puri

  1. Take a small portion of dough.

  2. Make a small ball from it and place on a piece of plastic paper.

  3. Fold the plastic paper and place it above ball. Press the ball little with hand.

  4. Now, roll the puri slowly while moving plastic paper circular.

  5. Make sure to roll not too thick not too thin.

  6. Let’s make puri with another method.

  7. Immerse small ball of dough in flour.

  8. Roll puri while moving puri circular.

  9. You can roll with method you feel comfortable and easy.

Frying Puri

  1. Heat sufficient amount of oil in deep frying pan.

  2. Put puri in hot oil. The oil will bubble and puri will come at top.

  3. Press or hit puri with spoon or netted spoon so that puri will puffs up.

  4. Fry puri till it turns golden yellow.

  5. Prepare balance puri as per same process.
